The Story
A corporate career built on understanding marketplaces
My career spans 20+ years in tech and 15+ years in hospitality. It started long before Airbnb, inside large, complex companies — Apple, Microsoft, Dell, Boeing — learning how big organizations think about customers, operations, and growth at scale.
Then hospitality pulled me in. I moved into travel technology at Booking.com, and later joined Airbnb as a Market Manager. That role gave me hands-on, ground-level experience with the platform millions of hosts depend on — what separates a listing that converts from one that doesn't, and which details most owners overlook that consistently correlate with stronger performance. Today, my strategy is built on that professional experience, publicly available platform guidance, and years of client performance data — not on any proprietary or confidential Airbnb systems.
I spent that chapter helping top hosts in my market succeed — and I noticed the same pattern over and over. The owners who won weren't the ones who worked with the biggest management company. They were the ones who understood their business and made smart, informed decisions about their own listings.
Leaving Corporate Life
Building something personal and independent
Eventually I left the corporate track to build something of my own — a practice where I could give owners the benefit of my professional experience and a strategy built entirely for their side of the table, without a management contract, a commission structure, or a script.
